How can you nominate someone for Pride of Britain?
Members of the public nominate people through the Pride of Britain website, which lists the award categories. ITV regional news programmes also invite nominations for their own Fundraiser of the Year awards. In 2026, ITV regions opened nominations in June and named their winners in September.
A strong nomination explains what the person did, who it helped and over what period. Include figures you can stand behind, such as money raised or people supported, and say where they can be checked.
Who else was honoured for similar work beyond Britain?
People in other countries were also recognised in 2026 for helping their neighbours:
- Bangladesh: Runa Khan, whose organisation Friendship runs hospital ships on Bangladesh’s rivers, is one of three 2026 Ramon Magsaysay awardees.
- Australia: Jenny Kearney, who helps run a free Wednesday meal in Bacchus Marsh, Victoria, received an OAM.
