Corrections log
Where does Small Good Things publish corrections?
This log records material corrections and editorial holds. On September 8, 2026, we withheld 255 older stories pending source review and removed unsourced customer-review statistics and offer claims from buying guides and comparisons.
What counts as a correction?
A named fact that does not match its primary source, a source or product URL pointing at the wrong
thing, or a review that still treats a discontinued product as a current pick. Spelling fixes that
do not change meaning are not logged. We do not bump updatedDate for cosmetic edits.
What is in the log so far?
The entries below describe changes made on September 8 and September 25, 2026. If you have supporting evidence or notice an error, email [email protected].
| Date | Page | What changed |
|---|---|---|
| September 25, 2026 | 10 stories | Temporarily withheld stories whose only cited source was an organisation landing page rather than the supporting report. Removed an unsourced sentence claiming officials had verified results from 14 story summaries. Original URLs now explain the review. |
| September 25, 2026 | Buying-guide descriptions | Replaced “strong Amazon ratings” wording in 44 guide descriptions and two quick answers. Our scores are editorial assessments; we do not publish customer-rating statistics without provenance. |
| September 8, 2026 | 255 older stories | Temporarily withheld reporting with homepage-only sources or repeated evidence claims requiring confirmation. Original URLs now explain the review; drafts are preserved. |
| September 8, 2026 | Buying guides and comparisons | Removed unsupported customer-review counts, customer star averages and recurring-offer assertions. Editorial scores remain labelled separately. |
| September 8, 2026 | Zion Jerge rescue story | Removed a portrait pending reuse permission. Source reporting and the interview link remain available. |
How do I report an error?
Send the canonical URL, the sentence, and a source link. We check the cited primary source first. If we were wrong, we fix the page, set the updated date, and add a row here. If we were right, we will say so and leave the page alone.
