What data does Small Good Things collect?
Small Good Things collects almost nothing: no cookies for analytics, no personal tracking, and a newsletter email only if you sign up. Affiliate and partner links are marked, and this page explains exactly what happens when you follow one.
This page explains what data Small Good Things collects directly, and what happens when you follow a link to another site, including affiliate and partner links.
Analytics on this site
We use Plausible Analytics to measure traffic. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data, so it does not track you individually across visits or sites.
Affiliate and partner links
Some stories include links marked with * to partner sites and to Amazon. When you click one of these links, the destination site (including Amazon, as part of the Amazon Associates programme) may set its own tracking cookie to record that the visit came from Small Good Things, so a purchase or sign-up can be attributed correctly. We do not control or receive that cookie data ourselves — it is set and held by the destination site under its own privacy policy. See our editorial standards for how affiliate links are chosen and disclosed.
Newsletter sign-up
If you sign up for price-drop alerts or the newsletter, we collect the email address you provide in order to send those updates. We do not sell or share this address with third parties outside the email service used to send them. You can unsubscribe any time via the link in each email.
